Where do school buses drop off?
Buses unload at the north gate on Prentiss Place. A zoo greeter meets your group there, and buses park in the east lot until pick-up.
Do you have a group rate?
School groups are $10 per student. One free adult for every 10 students; extra adults are $12.
Is there a place to eat packed lunches?
Yes. Reserve the picnic pavilion when you request your visit (it seats 120). Lunches can stay on the bus until then.
What programs can we add?
Elephant talk (10:30, free), animal adaptations (grades 3-5, $3 per student) and the farm and petting area (K-2, free).

What should my child wear?
Comfortable closed-toe shoes for a lot of walking, and a jacket in cool weather. Most of the visit is outdoors.
Can my child bring money for the gift shop?
School groups do not stop at the gift shop, so please keep money at home.
Is the zoo wheelchair accessible?
Yes. All main paths are paved, and wheelchairs and strollers can be borrowed at the north gate for free.

🔒 Who sees the signed waivers
The school decides. For each trip, a teacher can choose to share the signed copies of your waiver with you. When they do, you see the students' names and the signed waiver PDFs for that visit, from when you approve it until 30 days after the visit. You never see the school's own forms, medical answers or parents' contact details. Please keep signed waivers private and use them only for this visit.
Teachers see this when they look you up.
